We operate from an uncontrolled airfield, which means that no expensive flight time is wasted waiting for takeoff clearances on every flight, or flying to and from a training area. These costs can quickly add up when training at bigger airports!

At Ingham airport, you can lift off the ground and start your lesson straight away.

The training helicopters are refuelled from our own fuel bowser right in front of the hangar, which again saves time and money.

Learn to fly in the same environment you are going to work in.

Our training area extends into the North Queensland cattle country, which means you can learn to fly in the same environment that you will later work in as a commercial pilot.

Guiding you through the paperwork

A lot of people are surprised at the amount of government paperwork they have to go through when they start their helicopter training.

At Hinchinbrook Helicopters, we will assist you with the paperwork right from the start of your theory training until your final flight test, to make sure that there are no undue delays to your training.
